Description
An uplifting Saturday workshop for young artists aged 6 to 16 years.
New theme each session, where everyone makes the same project to their own individual style and artistic interpretation. Sessions will be tailored according to to ages and ability. All projects will explore hand-built techniques, from slab building, coiling. pinch pots, sculpting plus decorating using coloured slips. A chance to create something fun, unique that can be treasured and used. See each date for the specific projects.
All items will be kiln-fired and be available for collection 3 – 5 weeks after making. Price includes all tuition and materials.

Saturdays from 11am – 2pm on the following dates – please bring a packed lunch or snack to enjoy during a short break.

24th Feb 2024 – Games boards – handmake your own game board and playing pieces using clay and decorating slips to create your own unique piece to enjoy with family and friends.
16th Mar 2024 – Plate and mug set – handmake a coordinated dining set and create something that you cannot buy in the shops. All to your own taste, just like your breakfast choice!
20th Apr 2024 – Melted glass and ceramics – create a decorative or functional piece with glass that melts in the kiln.
11th May 2024 – Ceramic Origami – combine two fabulous artforms, folding slabs of clay into different shapes to make something totally unique.
15th Jun 2024 – Pinch pot technique – using this ancient pottery technique, make a decorative and colourful treats jar or holder for your pens and paintbrushes.
6th Jul 2024 – Decoration fun – experiment and get a little messy with some groovy decorating using glazes, including bubble glazing and marbling.
